My husband completed the 13.1 miles of the 2010 Walt Disney World Half Marathon with the help of a TNT coach that he called "Terri". His time was 3 hours and 51 minutes. She didn't have a chip on her shoe, so I can't find her on the results page. Without her help, he probably would not have finished. We want to thank her for her unselfish support. Help me locate her, please.
This is a great story, though my experience is that it is not unusual. The coaches, the mentors are dedicated, compassionate people. But in your quest may I suggest contacting your local chapter if you haven't already. Someone should have a list of the coaches on the course.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to find out that way, but in the mean time, if anyone knows "Terri" identity, please let me know.
Ok, I posted my question a little early. Her name is not Terri. It is Tammy and her bib number is 52950. I was able to get this information from the ASI photos.
I looked on the Walt Disney Half results page with that bib number and no luck, looked at all the Tammy's, none that came close to that bib number. There is a chance the reason is because the coach never crossed the finish line. So my original recommendation still stands unless there is more info.. (like where she was from?). This message board is not widely used, but we will do our best.
Thank you for looking all that up for me. I did send an email off to Disney asking them to forward my information off to her asking her to get in touch with me. Don't know if they would do that or not, but thought it is worth the try. She did cross the finish line, but from the photos, we noticed she did not have a chip on either shoe.
That was Coach Tami from Michigan. I'll contact her about this thread so you can get in contact with her....
Hi - This is Coach Tammy from Michigan.
It was my pleasure to walk with Jack as he completed his personal goal of a half marathon endurance event.
Thank you so much for taking the time to track me down and reinforce to me why I do what I do with TNT. We help people realize their goals while they help us realize the Society's goals of eradicating blood cancers and helping those suffering from such cancers.
Thank you all for your help in finding Tammy.
If it's the Tammy from MI that I have a little tiny history with she is truly a wonderfully thoughtful and generous spirit. (well if she is not the same one she seems reaaly cool too!)
