You hit the nail on the head, the Holidays can be a good time or bad. People remind themselves to give, but they think of groups like Toys for Tots etc, so you have to get the message out. Other X-Mas ideas I have heard doing fairly well, organize Holiday Craft show (if you get a place donated you can charge per table or get craft donations), sign up for Charity Gift Wrapping stations (chain bookstores often do it). I have a Teammate doing a Holiday Wine Tasting this weekend.
