Crazy Ken Melbourne, Florida
Just call me crazy Joan!
I'll be race walking in Alaska. It's also my first trip up there!
I did my first TNT event in October at the Nike Woman's Marathon just 26 months after being diagnossed with AML. I did the half marathon in October and I'm considering the full event this time.
Training on Fort Myers Beach in sunny Florida....Go Team!
Hi Ken,
I will either be the coach in Alaska or Seattle. Depends on our numbers.
See you next time you're in Brevard County North.
Hello, I'm Paula and I'll be training in San Antonio, TX for the June marathon in Alaska. I've visited Alaska before and loved it.
This will be my first event with TNT, but I'm sure it will lead to many more,
Hello CrazyKen,
My name is Caro V Rivera and I just signed up to do the Half Marathon in Alaska. This is the first time that I have the opportunity to join the LLS and for that matter to run that distance! I am a soldier stationed in Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio TX. What motivated me to join the Team is to run in honor of my husband of 16 years, Jerry who is living Cancer free thanks to a wonderful drug called Gleevec, in honor of one of my best friends son Adam who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, he is only 9 years old and in honor of all the soldiers assigned to my unit that right now are in treatment for Leukemia or Lymphoma. I want to help the LLS to win the War against Cancer, and I believe that every single battle is important to achieve this goal.
My only concern is that I don't know too many people here in San Antonio and I think it's going to be a little hard to achieve my goal, but I know it's doable! I am looking forward to meet you and everyone in the teams from all over the country! Take care and keep the faith!

Hi Paula,
I am Caro and I will also be running in Alaska! I am also from San Antonio, I can't wait to meet you! I will be running in honor of my husband, a friends son and all the soldiers assigned to my unit that are in treatment for this terrible disease. I hope to meet you on the 31st!
Hi Joy! Hello San Antonio;s Paula and Caro and Joan from the west coast of Florida! Can't wait to meet you in Alaska! But I will see Joy this comming saturday at kick off. She is my Coach and one wonderful person I am proud to call friend. She has taught me so much. Not by her words, but by her actions. So many people talk about doing things, but she does it. Coaches and Mentors give so much. One of my friends ask me ( Isn't running a personnel sport?) My answer is No!
This Team inspires you to do things you don't think you can do and alone I don't know that I could run a Marathon or raise these funds so Moms, Dads, Sons and Daughter's can Live. This team will help you and teach you how to do these things. But it is up to all of us to train and work to do this.
SO THANK YOU, BECAUSE JUST 1 CAN! JUST 1 STEP STARTS A MARATHON ! AND JUST 1 PERSON OR MOMENT CAN CHANGE ANOTHER PERSON'S LIFE
GOD BLESS YOU FOR TAKING THAT STEP AND FOR BEING JUST 1 OF MANY CHANGING WORLD FOR MOMS, DADS, SON'S AND DAUGHTERS!
Your Crazy Friend Ken, Melbourne Florida!
Greetings All,
Ken you make me blush.........I ran Alaska in 2005 on the Team and Coached the event in 2008. When I ran in 2005 it was cold and rainy but it's still the best marathon I've ran out of 14. There was no place I would have wanted to be than there. So you all have picked a beautiful sport for your event and it's so much more rewarding doing an endurance event for a purpose. Your purpose is to improve the lives of people suffering from blood cancers. How AWESOME are you all!

Hi Everyone!
My name is Vinita and I recently joined TNT in Toronto!! This is my
first time being a part of something like this but I am very excited
and pumped!! I signed up for the Full Marathon (walk/run). To be
honest, I am more of a walker but I thought I could try and train for
both and hope for the best. ![]()
Any advice for a beginner walker/runner? Looking forward to getting to know all of you
Cheers,
Vinita
Hiya Vinita & Everyone!
I recently signed up with TNT as well and will also be participating in the Alaska Marathon. This will be my first Marathon ever as well. I will also be walking the full marathon
I recently underwent 2 back surgeries so running is out of the question for me
But I can certainly do some serious walking! I've been looking for a fellow walker to hook up with! Maybe we could be walking buddies? ![]()
Hope your training and fundraising are going well! Please feel free to email me anytime!
HAve A Great Day!
Jennifer
OOOOOPS - Forgot to Mention that I'm in Wisconsin! ![]()
