Hello fellow teammates
My name is Tony and I'm a third season run mentor in Monterey, CA. I wanted to put out there that I have created a NATIONAL group on Facebook called "[TNT National Meetup|http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6963275761]," in which I am hoping that people can make connection with people that will be attending their event.
All too often at events, I see self-segregation of teams by state or district (especially true of larger teams) because it's just not possible to meet and greet with 1000s of people in the 2-3 days of your event weekend.
I'm hoping that it will be one more way of building up support for participants by being able to see the scope of the WHOLE program. I think it would really add to the fun of the program to meet and interact with other participants virtually and then "Meetup" at their event! And, finally, Facebook is a tool that people are already very familiar with. No new registrations or web addresses to remember. It will flow seamlessly into their established community!
Please feel free to pop in and sign up. It's open access so anyone can join. Please also feel free to pass teh work along. My goal is to unite the east and west coasts, the southern most tip of Florida and the northern most city in Canada. The site will eventually show (on a map updated weekly) what teams are participating on Facebook. We are all one team, and I want to show everyone that we are proud and strong agents of hope! GO TEAM!!
