Just wanted to share with you guys that Jakob had an appt. with his ortho today and his ankle continues to improve!!!  He still can't start P.E. class or run marathons but has been given the green light to "run and play" with friends.  At 14 that translates into horseing around and maybe running to catch a football but very exciting.

So that makes about 20 months since AVN was discovered and steroids stopped,  and I could very clearly see the improvement on the x-ray.  Funny enough during tx we saw no real improvement but Jakob is about 8 mths OT and in the last 6 mths huge strides with AVN---coincidence or just timing?????

Those of you still in the trenches--it gets better, it gets better, it gets better....

ps Jakob also started his first job this summer--so nice to be normal driving him to and from work instead of hospital
