fun run

Well, i did my long 8 mile run by myself last Sat. and it wasn't near as painful as I thought it would be...the donations continue to come in as well, which is a blessing!  Also, my knees are holding up and I'm icing them, taking cold baths after run to help w/ inflammation (i sound ninety years old don't I??) and i should get dividends from Aleve company for their anti-inflammatory medicine.

I have seen a lot of suffering and death when I worked on the highway patrol but most of it was caused by someone's negligence while driving...with cancer, I've seen strong, productive people with good jobs, happy lives, and dreams that were not fulfilled because cancer took them first.  I have also seen people with cancer that 'beat it' and they go on to support cancer research by working for places like LLS, becoming advocates for those going through cancer currently, and being shining lights just by their 'success story'...it is truly a blessing to see these stories in action right now, being affiliated with LLS!

Yesterday, I couldn't go to team run again,...we only have one car right now and Cubscouts first meeting took precedence over my run...i'd 'catch a ride' with someone but we live out in the country 20 minutes from town and no one is close by to 'catch a ride' with....woe is me, right....ha ha...

I did run my four miles yesterday at gym and today is cross-training day,...hmmm, i'm bored to death with elliptical and stairmaster, maybe i'll spin cycle....i like that...similar endorphin rush to running   ;-O

well, gotta run!!!  (pun intended)
