- Biography: My father, Clement Ferdinando, was diagnosed with CLL in 1993. He lived with the disease for 12 years before having a stem cell transplant. The transplant was unsuccessful. He passed away on Dec. 18, 2006 at age 58. He was my world. He had suffered through so much. He now is with God in a place where there is no more suffering.
