Good Morning Everyone!!
Today i woke up feeling resting! thank God! and i don't have any plans for the day! which is the most pleasant thought! lol.... Hopefully i will get to get on with my Christmas decorating which i had started and left at a stand still.
Thank you Dee, Mimi, Patti, Pauline and everyone for being there for me.
Mimi & Patti, i finally was able to get to the right LLS chapter here and requested that financial form, thing is... it needs to be signed by the doctor, so hopefully when i go next time to UCLA, they are willing to fill it out for me. we'll see.
Well, i'm off to begin my day..... first my Big Cup of black Coffee!!! ahhh........ that'll put a smile on my face every morning ![]()
Have a beautiful and blessed day everyone!
Sarah
Sarah, I'm so very, very sorry to hear about all of the problems you've been having. I've been praying for you, and will continue to do so. Hopefully, Ralphie will be OK with a little time, and will go back to being his own sweet self! I know how terribly frightening it must be to all of you when something is wrong with a child or grandchild. And please don't worry about the teaching hospital at UCLA. Some of the best treatment I've had, has been at a university hospital. Sometimes I think the docs who are just beginning (interns, residents, even students) try a lot harder than the older docs who have gotten to the point where they take everything for granted.
Hugs to all,
Peg
Pegetha, thank you for the kind words and support. It means alot!
and yes.... our Ralphie should be ok, but it'll take time, so please keep continued prayers for him. Today, i'm having a good day! yahoo!!!
and i hope you have a great one too Pegetha! and Everyone else!!
hey Dee.... i should listen to you sooner!!..... it does help to post and get the support!
dah... me!!!
lol....
Happy, Happy Day to Everyone!!!!!

hey there sarah, it is always good to share on the forum, we are all here for each other, you/we are never alone. i have been there and done that and shared, and even though we are all so far away from each other we are all so close. a problem shared is a problem halved. i hope Ralphie is doing well.
take care
love from the wee scottish lass Pauline
Hey Pauline--
Are you back up from your house now? I'm playing catch up on reading a couple days' posts.....I'm not getting the page numbers to appear on the forum and have to scroll down thru all the posts to get to the latest--it does this sometimes--then it will pop back up a few month's worth of posts--it's just trying to annoy me!
So, how has our wee little Pauline been doing with setting up new house and keeping up with work?
Status on the TeeShirt is that Emily had/has it and is sending on to Kay (mommom) in Oxford, MS. So, it's been to me, Dee, CA. Sarah, St. Louis Emily and soon will be with Kay. So after Kay gets it and sends it on, the status will be 5 down and 9 to go.(Denise, Patti, Colleen, Michele, Linda F., Anne, Sydney, Pauli and Pauline--not necessarily in that order--it's a happy, well loved litle TeeShirt!)
The ole Mimi had an achy day today--no reason--just cause i can--everything ached!! I finally took pain pill and got out of bed to watch the Saints beat the Redskins--close game--went into just a few minutes of overtime. So the Saints are 12 and 0 and that feels great--Pauline, you reailze i am talking abt football. (boring you with football)
I am so glad you finally got back on the forum.
Chris is leaving town tomorrow afternoon for a 3 day gig in Jackson, Mississippi--that is a 2 hour drive from here. Friday AM he goes in to his GI doc for a "stretching" of his esophogas. it is an every 3 month deal now. They just knock him out and run the scope down him to the constricted area and stretch the area with a balloon. We are quite used to the procedure that they say is due to "silent heartburn" and so long as we keep our every 3 mo appts, this can go on forever. If he doesn't keep the appts he runs into trouble swallowing--and they always do a biopsy. He has now met his insurance deductible so this one is "on the house"!!
Mason is here and spending night with us--he is already employed again on another movie shoot. And I love that he can finally buy us groceries!
What's going on with you, me wee litle pal? I see it is past midnight. ...Our temp is 55 and in a warming trend--yeah! We have had a lovely fire in the fireplace for 2 days. Ciao bella.
OOPS, I THINK YOU'RE NOT BACK ON AT THE HOUSE--MY MISTAKE--I JUST READ THAT--GOOD LUCK AND TELL THEM TO FIX YOU!
Hey, ya'll! I see that I am next in line for the T-shirt. I talked to the LLS Society in Jackson, MS and they think the traveling T is one great idea. So,when it gets to me I will let them know and we will try to get a local interest story in the paper about ya'll and how it all get started. I will use only first names in the article but give cities and countries - yep, that's you Pauline, wee lass that you are!
If any one is against using your name or such publicity as this for the T, please let me know. I don't wish to offend anyone. Just that the personalization of our blood diseases, disorders and in general how it all disrupts our lives is important in putting a 'face' on the need for more research for a cure.
I am very excieted about my turn and I know I will cry when it comes and am honored beyond anything ever to be a part of the Traveling T-Shirt.
Love to you all, I'll let you know, Emily, when I arrives that's in good shape.
Kay
Sarah, so sorry to hear all that you have been going through. Especially about your little grandson! Scary! I hope he is already doing better! Stress can just play so much havic (sp???)! And you have had more than your share. But always remember that you are not alone. Come on, let it all hang out so to speak. We are all here for you! You are special! And I am so happy to read your next post where you woke up rested this morning! A nice little encouragement!
you are in my prayers!
love Pauli
Hey there Kay my dear,
Always a pleasure to hear from you, Sugar!
I think it's a wonderful for your local paper to run a story about "The Fraternity of the Traveling Tee Shirt". I think it would make a great human interest story and bring more awareness to our shared bond of the very "mysterious" MPD's! And as I am not presently wanted by the law, I'm all good with my name and city being a part of it!...I am so sorry that we don't still have The Enterprise in publication--the paper I worked for in Ponchatoula--because I would have definitely written a great article about it from the beginning, a couple updates abt it and then the final story of it. But my paper went out of business after being in publication for 85 years--the oldest business in Ponchatoula too. We do have another local paper, but it's a rag and now that the owner has no competition, his paper has gone even further down in journalistic quality. It is pitiful.
So like I say, as I'm not wanted by the law, I'm all for it, and any attention to these MPD's is more than we had before! I think it would make a great story.
Much love to you Kay, and I hope you are faring well,
Mimi
hi kay, that sounds like a great idea, and i dont mind you using my name or from where i come from, you go for it and let me know if anything gets published. more people need to be made aware of our conditions and the disturbances they have on our lives and general daily living..... i laugh to myself when i recieve posts of my self being refered too as 'wee lass' as its true i am only just over 5' tall lol i just a teenie bop...hee hee but i get by lol i just love it x
fae wee p fae scootland lolx
I'm behind on reading all the posts and hope to catch up today. I just wanted to let everyone know that I was laid off on Friday. I tend to cocoon myself when I'm upset. Once I get back on track I'll post more.
