HI there:
Back last year in November I posted here under a post that I started called Newly Diagnosed or just diagosed, stage 4, Anyway it has now been one year since I found out that I have CLL and I am going ok, I have gotten a good report each time that I have gone back to see the Dr. I have had alot of people praying for me and still do. I am only 52. I willl also post this to the living with CLL forum too. I wanted to post this here first as this was the first place and only place that I had posted to back then. I also have type 2 diabetes and I have tried to managed my blood sugers level even though it was hard to try and keep my blood suger levels under control. I have posted this below to my facebook page under my info. You can find me on facebook as joetom57.Also I got the shingles about the first of June or at the end of May and so this summer was not that good of a summer for me. As these shingles has hurt and I still feel the afrer effects of these shingles. But I have made it through this year and so far I guess I would say that I am doing ok. I can finally have cataract surgery done on my left eye, as I was going to have it done last year at this time when I found out that I have CLL. I had went to my regular Dr to be cleared to have eye surgery, when I found out that my white blood count was critcally high and my red blood cell coiunt was low and my platelate count was low.
On October 31, Halloween, last year in 2008 it was on Friday night, one year ago this past October 31 I found out that I have Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and on November 4, it will be one year ago that I had a port put in my left shoulder and on November 11, it will be one year ago that I went into the hospital to start chemo treatments of which I had chemo treatment for three days, and I had the last chemo treatment in April of this year and the last CT scan that I had was back in August and this was the last time that saw my Dr and the Dr said then that my blood counts waa all ok and that all my lymph nodes were within normal range and that my spleen was normal and that I am in remission. Back in August this year, 2009, is the first time that my Dr had said that I was in remission and he said that I was already in remission, but they like to give two or three more chamo treatments as a precaution and to be sure. Now this month in November. I go back to see my Dr to have my blood count checked and to see how things are going. So I hope that I get a good report, like I have gotten each and every time that I have gone to see the Dr.
That's it for now. Take care till later. :-)
