They changed his Stage to 4b....

and no one told me. Ever since he was diagnosed they have said it was Stage 3b but when I was at clinic last I asked about his sub-type since no one had told me that and the Dr. said Nodular Sclerosis Stage 4b. I was shocked that they changed it and didn't let me know. They say it doesn't change his prognosis but it is the most advanced stage in HL. I think they should tell me these things and I shouldn't have to ask for certain things or not know when they change something. Matthew was with me so I didn't go into it to much but am going to talk to his main onc. next time I see her. Am I expecting too much?

You are not expecting too much, they absolutely should have called you. Did they do a bone marrow biopsy? I think you should talk with the Onc. about this and please ask whether BEACOPP has been considered for treatment. I hear lots of good things about it for advanced stage  Hodgkin's.

No, you certainly are not, it is common courtesy and a matter of respect to inform you of every detail concerning your son, it is there obligation to keep you fully aware of each situation that arises, no matter what the change, sounds like you have to stipulate this to them since they are lacking common sense to do so voluntarily.
