Last kick at the can on this one. I decided to see my GP and ask what the difference was between the CT scan results and the Ultrasound results. More to the point why are they different. My GP reead out both reslts documents and we wne to ver each line by line which was good. I already knew that ho cancer was found so I wasn;t worries about that especially but why are they different. I was told that different scanningn techniques can produce different results. I was suprised to find out that ultrasounds are much better than CT scan for some types of evaluations. Apparently there are ultrasounds using contrast. I have not had any of this type.
In any event there are some things in the old bod that are not tip top but not as yet going end my life.
One comment the doc made was that the types of things that my scans brought to light are very common but people do not know that they have thesm in their body because they do not have scans or evaluations like I/we do as a fairly common occurance. So people are not aware and go on without worrying about what they do not know.
So in the final anylysis I go back as per normal in 6 months for my next round and as a precaustionay measure I will have another abdominal ultrasound.
Thank you for for your generous posts on this subject.
Take Care

Roy
Ultrasounds with contrast? Not sure I'd want whatever they can do to create a contrast in my body. But, hell, I've drunk barium and let them inject iodine into me. What do I care? ![]()
Glad things are looking good overall. Always like to hear how you're doing.
