Look Good, Feel Better Program

My sister attended this program and said it was very good. The cosmetologist not only taught them how to use makeup, wigs, and turbans, but geared it towards chemo related effects and infection control. They provided tips on scalp and nail care, maintaining femininity etc. She also said they gave out wonderful gift bags with quality makeup. You can attend one if you are a cancer patient, recieving treatment. She said it was well worth it and would highly recommend it. You may want to check if there is one in your area.

Re: Look Good, Feel Better Program

Hi MW,

I concur!  I volunteer with the American Cancer Society here in Birmingham, AL with this program.  The women do leave with a renewed since of self and lots of great tips and makeup.  Also, this program is FREE, yup that's right, FREE.

Thanks for posting this information.

Blessings,

Jane

I love women and am so glad God put them on the earth.

But I'm really glad I was born a boy.

Yeah, yeah Tex.  LOL LOL   I have to say, that I never felt so liberated as when I had no hair to have to fuss with, okay so I still use makeup and did during treatment, but not fussing with hair . . . Wonderful!  Who of thunk it!  LOL

Blessings,

Jane

P. S.  Yes I fuss with my hair again.  Oh well.
