Here's the latest. After four weeks of hydroxyurea my platelets have dropped from 849,000 to 427,000. This is the range my doc wants them in. My white count has also dropped to 4900, the low end of normal range. Since I seem so responsive to this drug, perhaps I will need to lower the dose. Will see what the doctor has to say.

Have had no side effects from the drug. Hope all of you other new users are doing well too.
