New and Scared

Hi, my husband was diagnosed recently with CML. We are so overwhelmed and scared. Where do I go from here? I feel strong and I know this is a long battle, but I feel like I need direction.

Any adivce from those who are caregivers?

Re: New and Scared

I'm sorry to hear of Henry's diagnosis. I have CML and there are many people who can

help you on our CML discussion board.  Just scroll down to "Living with..." and

click, then under CML, click again.  It will put you on the board where you can get

find alot of very helpful and hopeful info and support. It is very scary to here those

words, but know this:  there is hope for this illness. And remember to take care

of the caretaker. O.K.

Hope to hear from you on the other board.  We will be waiting for you and Henry.

Take care.

Simone

Re: New and Scared

My husband was diagnosed with ALL in April of this year. (Seems like a lifetime ago). I am scared everyday. I do try to get a good nights sleep when I can. I find that I am pessimistic when tired. Also, do something fun every few weeks. You need something to look forward to when the bad days come.
