Brand new. Questions.

I am not too sure what all this stuff is.

What is TNT? Can it help me since it appears the closest chapter to me is several hundred miles away?

I'm looking for some help and motivation in training for the 2010 WDW half marathon. Raising money for a good cause is an added benefit.

Thanks.

Re: Brand new. Questions.

Hi There! I had no idea either what TNT was. I just knew my goal was a triathlon this summer, having run a couple races, and that I saw a girl swimming effortlessly at our Y so I asked where she trained to become such a good swimmer?  She said with TNT.  I went home and looked it up. It looked good to me.  Help others while reaching an athletic goal of my own.  Well...I joined TNT for the Chicago Accenture Triathlon and really  the fundraising was the most intimidating part, but we did it!  It was one of the best things I have ever done.  My kids even helped out and learned a lot as well.  The training was great because you do it as a team and can cheer eachother on, which gives motivation to keep going and not skip days here or there since there is a training guideline to follow too.  The coaches are fun and inspiring as well as the cause.  We were able to do some smaller triathlons for practice before our big race.  Just knowing I was working hard for our team hero Luke, a 4 year old with Leukemia, kept me going!    I recommend TNT to everyone! I will be back for other events next year!  GO TEAM!

Hi Stephanie~

Where are you located?  Let's see if there's a chapter reasonably close to you.

Re: Brand new. Questions.

Hi! Your Team Manager for that area is Pat Hilburn email  Pat.Hilburn@lls.org) Write them and there is most probably a Team in you county with a local coach. As I am on the central Florida Team for team in training, which is base out of Orlando. But we have a team in my county. As for doing the Disney World Half-Marathon ( YOU WILL LOVE IT) Okay so I am from there, But I Have ran the Disney Fool's I mean Full Marathon for the last 5 years and it is so much fun.

We have an EXPO and the Disney Wide World of Sports complex, then the night before the 1/2 Marathon we have a big Pasta Dinner with guess speaker that will make to cry, Than your event the Half-Marathon and the great thing is the next day you get to watch the full marathon and after that on Sunday Night we have a Big Disney World TNT Party.

C U at Disney World were dreams come true!
