After creating a thread right here, I get the message
No &%^$*
I need to edit a thread I created and instead the software duplicated the original post.
Please help fgs, this is a nightmare.
dj
The thread is Health Care Reform under Let's just talk. dj
Have you seen this error again? We've tried to replicate this and have been unable to do so. If you encounter this error again, let us know here or email community@lls.org if you cannot post a reply.
Trying to get something to happen a second time is nigh impossible, as you discovered. Thought perhaps the software had an error log you could track.
What about the second part of my question. Why can't I edit the post I used to start a new thread? See above.
Also, MOST IMPORTANT
Profile function does not seem to work. It you run your arrow over my profile, it is blank; if you look at the page I use to enter information I have information in my biography. Now, why is the profile blank? Why should I enter information if it's not going to be visible.?
Since this software doesn't have bio information on the bottom of each and every post, like some, this feature would be useful for us. What's up with the blanks? dj

We just checked our log files and we do not see any errors for you on the date of your post. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do without replication of the error.
Regarding editing the original post of a thread - you should be able to do this. Do you see an "Edit thread" link under Actions? This allows you to edit the original post.
The hover feature for your profile is meant to just give a snapshot of your last posting activity on the LLS Community. If you have your email address publicly viewable that will display as well. When I've hovered over avatars and usernames I've been able to see this information (and I've tested this out in a couple of different browsers). It's not meant to show everything in your profile page (and if you have noticed, some people have a lot of content on their profile page). Regarding this showing up in your posts, I'll need to look into this, but because this does add more on every page it is something we'll need to consider.
