Corporate sponsorships are not only the shirts but I do believe on correspondence, but you should check with the local office. I have found that Corporate sponsors are tough if you do not have a direct relationship with a decision maker. But when you say contact local businesses I have seen people have great success with getting donations of products then using them for a raffle. Good luck, train well, raise lots.
