Social Networking as a Fundraising Tool

How many of you have a MySpace page, Facebook or other social networking pages?  Have you used it as a tool to raise funds?  Share your strategies

I definitely use the "Event" function in Facebook to make fundraising information available to people.

Re: Social Networking as a Fundraising Tool

Hi Cynthia. Even though I just got started in my fundraising efforts, I have already found these sites to be useful.  I have yet to send out my donation request emails or letters, but have already received some donations from friends who found the link to my Team in Training page on my myspace & facebook sites.  Another easy way to get people onto your fundraising site is by posting a myspace bulletin with your info and web address & asking all of your friends to re-post it.

ditto to everything pkschell said.    I haven't yet sent out any letters, but I have received donations from people clicking on my facebook link.  I need to put one on my myspace page as well.
