I just finished my saturday run and got to my computer and was reading some site's and I came across a site from South Florida's Team Nancy Medvin and read a her favorite Quote and I loved it ! It gave me energy again after this mornings 18 mile run. Which was in honor of Keisha D. my Leukemia stomping Hero in Dallas, Texas.

The quote is ( "TOUGH TIMES DON'T LAST...TOUGH PEOPLE DO!") This was a quote from her hero Mark Greenberg, who was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (a type of blood cancer). The day he was diagnosed, I made the decision to join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's, Team In Training.

Point is I have hear so many people say great quotes that inspire and would enjoy hearing what yours are.

So please share and tell us what your favorite Inspiration Quotes are.

Okay I know someone out there has a favorite Quote.

This one is for everyone at the LLS and with TNT.

( There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.)

Here are two of my favorites:

"It ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" ~ ("Rocky Balboa")

"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." ~ Steve Prefontaine

When I mentor for the Team in the MD chapter I send out a weekly batch of inspirational quotes to the participants. Here are some of my "greatest hits" :

We can't all be heroes because someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.
-Will Rogers

You can have anything you want, if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish, if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.

  • Abraham Lincoln

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.

  • T.S. Eliot

We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us.

  • Romans, 5:3-5

Big occasions and races which have been eagerly anticipated almost to the point of dread, are where great deeds can be accomplished.

Eric,

Thank you so much, this is for Kati Fisher.

Better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.

  • - Chinese Proverb*

My coach Barry was the first one to tell me the story one Kati. She was and is the light on the candle in a dark world. Her father is a great man who still carrys that candle of inspiration to light the way to the cure.

Thank You both

By my daughter, about a half-hour down the freeway after getting out of the hospital one time: "If I were a dog, I'd wag my tail."

Truer words of happiness were never spoken!

God bless her -- she' s in heaven now. Happy tail-wagging feelings all the time.

Kiri, I LOVE THAT QUOTE! And I bet you can see your little one as they say it in your mind, what a wonderful memory of the thousands you must hold dear. Thank you for sharing that it will carry through my run that I am about to go to.

Kiri,

Thank you! I wish I could say more, but my words aren't enough.

Kati's Dad,

I was supposed to be with you in San Diego, But I am in Colombia working. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. Give Barry, Michele, and Joy ( from Melbourne Florida) a big hug for me. May your angel be with you.

Love

Just Ken

My favorite quote at the moment is "Fear is temporary. Regret is forever." I remind myself of this quote often as I am getting ready to train to run my first marathon...I'm so not a runner but am looking forward to the challenge. I even put this quote on my fundraising letter. :o)

I like these quotes:

"If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. " Nora Roberts (I think this applies to fundraising too!)

"Even if you fall flat on your face, at least you are moving forward." Sue Luke
