Hello all! I have a good friend who has TOTALLY inspired me to get involved with TNT. I have a cousin who died from lymphoma and have friends with leukemia. I am so ready to get in shape and be inspired while helping a great cause!

I am registered for the info session next week. My concerns are these: I've never run before, though I do exercise. I have some chronic health issues myself that sometimes limit my energy. I don't want these things to stop me! I guess I'd just love some input from you all.

THanks!

Definitely go to the info meeting since that's where you can get your questions and concerns answered. Know that the coaches in TNT are awesome. They are all very knowledgeable, experienced and supportive. Tell them your specific health concerns and they should be able to advise you. Sounds like you have a number of contacts who have been touched by the diseases (unfortunately), but that will definitely help to inspire you to press on and reach the finish line. Good luck!

Going to the info session is the first step and will probably get most of your questions answered during the presentation. I have run a marathon with TNT, but had been a runner for quite some time and am now coaching for them. The coaches, past participants, and staff are at the meetings to answer all your questions. I'm sure a lot of people at the info session are nervous about the commitment also, make sure you don't leave without gettign your questiosn answered and know that everyone is there throughout the season to help and answer questions as they arise.

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that joining TNT was one of the best things I've ever done. I just completed the Disney Half Marathon (walk/run) and it was a great experience. Prior to joining TNT, I didn't exercise or go to the gym; exercising was not my thing but like you I wanted to get back in shape. This is a great TEAM, you'll have great coaches and great support, besides you'll be doing it for a great cause!!

btw, If anyone would had asked me a year ago if I would do 13.1 miles, I would have said "I'm not crazy" however, now I trying to decide which one to do next!!

Good luck!

I just finished the Half Marathon in Disney, and I can tell you that it's one of the most positive experiences of my life. I wasn't a runner, I've never been one, although I had been doing a little bit of excercise, here and there, but not too much. The training you receive assumes that you have never run before, and I can assure you that you will definitely receive enough training to do it.

It's funny how I signed up myself, I went to the info session, just to accompany my wife. I wasn't planning to sign up AT ALL. But the info session was SO inspiring, that I thought, I HAVE TO DO THIS. I didn't know how I would do it, as I don't run, and I didn't know how I would raise the funds either. Well, here I am, three days after the Disney marathon, I completed the Half Marathon and the fund raising. Both my wife and I are planning to keep on participating in TNT events, and already have a schedule of half or full marathons that we want to run this year.

Do it, do it, do it. It's a life-changing event, and you will meet some of the most amazing and inspiring people you'll ever meet.

Hi Karla,

First thing don't be nervous, they call us Team in Training for a reason, we are a Team! We have great coaches that will teach you everything what to wear, Shoes(right type and Size), Running Shirts( Dry never cotton), Running Shorts (Dry never cotton). To what pace and how to build self from not being able to jog a mile to running 26.2. Between you coaches and your team mates which also include all of us on this Team site, You can make a differance. You are worried about your energy? Well while you train for a half Marathon 13.1 or a Full Marathon 26.2 you will be shown how you use energy pack's, salt packs, banana's, Orange slices and power Aid and water to keep your energy up the whole time. And in any event you do you will not be alone, I just ran the Disney Marathon again and this year I think we had something like 1900 people from TNT on the course. There will be your coaches that you train with, But there will also be coaches from all over the US and PR out there to help you. Once you do this your life will change, you Will cry at the finish line and it will not be from the pain. It will hit you that you just did something you did not think you could do. You also saved someone's daughter, son, mom, dad, sister or brother and will know that nothing is impossible. Just you work and try and do, for only those who dare to dream can make their dreams come true!

Just 1 Can

Just 1 daughter inspired a father, just 1 father inspired his friends, just 1 group of friends became a team, just 1 team inspired a national became a national organized team, and just 1 national team is and will continue to save lives and will find more cures and treatments for Blood Cancers!

Just 1 Can

1 step starts a marathon and 1 person can change the world and make it a better place. YOU CAN!!!!

Thank you
