A shout out to all blood cancer warriors who have participated in TNT. I started training for a TNT event this past January when I was 2 months out of chemo for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I completed the 13.1 mile half marathon in Anchorage AK on June 23rd, the exact 1-year anniversary of my cancer diagnosis. It was a great experience and I'm so grateful that I was strong enough to cross the finish line (and not be the last one either) and so happy to have raised almost $7,000 for the LLS this year between TNT and Light the Night. I met a lot of wonderful people walking and running in honor of loved ones but I'm especially glad to see how many survivors are able to participate. It gives me great hope that we will be able to conquer blood cancers and reinforces my belief that once you have "done" cancer, you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to.
Celebrating 1 year in remission this month & looking forward to my next TNT event...
