Just Kind of Bizarre

Not a problem, but it's kind of funky. In the "Coping with Treatment" forum a thread that hasn't been written on in three months has moved to the top of the list on top of topics that are about a week old.

Just bizarre.

Someone from the LLS Community wrote that I may be asked to leave because of complaints logged against me. Last night someone from facebook sent me a scam email about a desktop dating site. Just because I was responding to this friend (not joining the site) an invite to the site got sent to 268 names on my contact list including some LLS friends I write to personally and the LLS Community Main Site. Later, a friend who thought this was all very funny wrote 'But what do I do with the naked pictures of Judy?" This too got sent to everyone, as he was hitting reply. It was a bad joke but I had no part in it. Now I'm told I may need to leave? Could you check all the contributions I have made here? I have taken care of friends having SCTs and am leaving in three days to help someone else recovering. People I know from here. People I love. I have lived with NHL for fifteen years, My husband John is the patient/survivor. I not only get support but I reach out to everyone. I would appreciate reconsideration of this and if other complaints have been logged against me as suggested, I believe I have the right to know who is saying what about me. Thank you. This entire thread was deleted by someone this morning although the moderator says he knows nothing about it.Perhaps it was the other moderator . I lost all your beautiful comments and I feel so bad. I did get informed that the email scam caused them to have to look into it and they did get complaints about that letter but are resolving the issue in my favor and I'm here to stay. I do wonder who notified them about the email letter but am now quite sure who it was. Judy

Last night I asked for an explanation as to why an abusive post was left on over 24 hours after it was reported as abusive. That the post and some accompanying posts have been deleted NOW does not answer why the original post was left up for over 24 hours.

Instead of answering, you chose to delete the post in which I asked the question. It won't go away that easily.

I still would like a public explanation as to why a completely abusive post was left up for 24 hours (or one working day) after it was reported. Why was it left up until Tuesday morning?

I had a post of mine edited by Brooke 15. I had added smileys from another website and wonder why they were taken out. Could someone please enlighten me?

"Unexpected Error"

I've been receiving a lot of "An Unexpected Error Has Occured" messages lately. As this software doesn't keep our old text like the old one used to (if you hit the back button the text you typed was still in the window), this has lost a number of posts that have to be retyped.

Please check into this.

Are we missing a place for those with T-cell chronic leukemia?

Occasionally, a few people with T-cell chronic leukemia, usually Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia, appear on this site. However, there are no spots for them to gather. The Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia thread is not a good area for T-CLL’ers because it focuses so much on B-cell CLL. Indeed, there is an implicit understanding that that everyone who post in this area has B-cell CLL. Since symptoms and treatment modes are very different between T- and B- CLL, I think it may be a good idea to establish a new thread for T-CLL'ers in the … Living with … section of LLS.ORG.

I have one concern: there may be too few T-CLL’ers; I am wondering if there would be a large enough group of T-CLL'ers to provide reliable support. It is tough on a person if they reach out for help and nobody hears their call. Maybe, you could have a new area with the title “Rare Leukemia”, which would be similar to section with title “Rare Lymphoma”. Still, you may prefer to be straight forward and simply set up an area with title “Chronic T cell Leukemia”. You should discuss with colleagues as how to best to proceed.

If you should decide to move forward with my suggestion, there is a nice thread entitled “T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocyte Leukemia” in the “Newly Diagnosed” folder. You could sow this into the new area. It would be a good start.

I just joined this site because my husband had a double cord blood transplant three weeks ago. Messages on the board have been so nice. Now I get the following "Private Message" that was supposedly scanned by the site. I think not. I am very upset and would like to save the rest of you from being taken in by these terrible people!!!

Thank you to everyone who notified us about the spam you received through the private messages. We take spam seriously and worked to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, so you should no longer receive messages from this user.

We do want to make sure that everyone understands how the private messages feature works, as there does seem to be some confusion on the process.

This feature was recently enabled to provide users with a way to message each other privately without having to post private messages in the public communities, or without having to share private information publicly (for example, email addresses). You can find this feature through Your Stuff then Private Messages. When you take a look at it, you'll see it looks very similar to email with an inbox, ability to create messages and new folders, and manage contacts.

Here is how the email notification process works.

When you create a private message and send it to another registered user on the LLS Community that person receives an email notification at their real email address. That person can then log into their LLS Community account to access and reply to that private message. You can only send and receive messages if you are a registered user, and at no point is a person's email address used in the exchange except that the LLS Community sends an automatic email notification of the received messages.
