Throwing some support to leukemia patients and families

My brother-in-law was diagnosed with ALL leukemia the last day of August. My sister lives across the country from me so we decided to walk in our local Leukemia/Lymphoma walk and surprise them with the photos. Here is the slideshow. I just want to share with this you so you know that there are people everywhere dedicated to your cause, raising money for research and silently supporting you with your fight. Please keep my brother-in-law in your thoughts. And of course, all you supporters/family out there, please consider becoming a bone marrow donor. Thank you!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYkbFXBcDoc

Wekah=Wes and Bekah

Team Wekah supporter

Fundraising for Light the Night in OKC, msg if you would like to join Team Sarah:)

I am a 20 year old that was diagnosed at 19 with Acute myeloid leukemia M2 in November 2011. I am currently in complete remission and 4 months off of therapy WOOT!!! Yay. Still today there are so many young and old being diagnosed with blood cancers and disorders. This has to change. It is the reason I am desperately trying to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This organization helped my family so much when I was diagnosed. They helped us financially, and without these donations from caring souls, us patients would not have the financial resource of LLS to go to for help. So if you are able and willing, please visit my fundraising page and make a small donation to TEAM SARAH. Hoping for a forever remission!! Also for those in the OKC OK area and are walking at the Oklahoma City walk, if you want to join my team, either reply to this thread or message me privately and I'll add you to my team to walk for the cure! The more there are the stronger the cause !

Here is the link to the fundraising site!
My First Light the Night Walk

Hello,

This is my first time doing Light the Night Walk.I'm walking in honor of my grandfather who was diagnosed with CLL 3 years ago. He recently passed away and there is no better way to honor his memory than to walk for such a wonderful cause. I don't have a team set up but I'm working on getting some of my friends and family to walk with me. I was wondering if anyone could find it in their hearts to make a small donation, for my grandfather, for someone you know or for the countless number of lives that count on the support of the community and research in hopes of finding a cure, after all we all have a common goal and that is to support this great cause and one day find a cure. This is my donation page; http://pages.lightthenight.org/nyc/Queens12/LPhillips. Any amount would be deeply appreciated and if anyone would like to join me in memory of my grandfather Herbert at Forest Park 9/22/12 at 6pm please message me:) Thank you for your support!

My little brother was diagnosed this February with ALL. It was the hardest day for my whole family's life. It's so hard to hear something that horrible about your younger sibling knowing that you cannot take what he is going through away. Thankfully they caught it early on and he has been cancer free since his first treatment he is a trooper and takes everything that the Dr's have to do to him like a champ it makes dealing with this so much easier to see my brother doing well! In honor of him my family and are walking in our first Light The Night walk this year and we are very excited to be doing this and raising money for such a great cause. I was hoping that I could get some support with this and hope that someone can please donate to me or my team and help us out, Thank you all very much.

Go Team Anthony!!

Crystal

http://pages.lightthenight.org/sj/OysterPt12/CReyes

My team page

http://pages.lightthenight.org/sj/OysterPt12/TeamAnthony

My child was diagnosed with Leukemia a little over a month ago and I would love to participate with the family. The thing is, I don't know if we'll be out of the hospital by then or if we should go to such an open place(germs fresh out of the hospital). Should I make a team and start raising even though I might not make it? What happens if I can't make it? Do they mail anything(papers, ect.) to your house so I can know what address I should put? If they don't I can put mines but if they do I can put my moms because we won't be around much now And do you think it's a good idea to go even if we'll be recently home from the hospital and he might still be vulnerable to infections(Maybe wear a mask...Is that enough)? Should we sign up even if we don't go? Thanks!

Their second child, Austin was only 2 months old at the time of his diagnosis. Since the moment I heard the news, I have tried to be as much a warrior in the fight for a cure as he has proven to be in the fight for his health. Walking with the LLS "Light the Night"; organization as the Team Captain of Austin's Warriors for North Central Florida proved to me that there were a lot of people who were willing to fight, but didn't now that their fight was shared by an army of parents, survivors, siblings, friends and healthcare professionals who are trying to raise awareness where ever they can.

Today Austin is cancer free and is living his life to the fullest with his wonderful mother, father and big brother Hunter. Hunter gave me a boost when he put it so marvelously, "Austin kicked cancers butt!"

Please Help!!!
