Regarding the @mentions, see Shout Out to People, Places, and Things in the Getting Started Guide for additional information on this feature. Note that you can only mention other users who are "friends".

You can follow content and people you want to receive updates on. See Follow Content, People, or Places.

Your View has been replaced with functionality from the Activity, Communications & Actions sections. These are the icons along the top next to Home.

I will remove the older documentation from the Getting Stared Guide.

It is possible to watch an entire forum. Go to the My Child Has Cancer space. Under the Actions section if you see Stop email notifications than you are watching the entire space. Click Stop email notifications to stop watching it.
