Wow - I certainly do have experience with this, as you've basically described my life! I was diagnosed with splenic marginal zone lymphoma in 2006, while trying to get pregnant. I put everything on hold for a while as we figured things out (I'm also on w&w) and then got permission to continue trying. I got pregnant at 33 and had a beautiful baby girl at 34 - she is 14 months old now.

I know how stressful everything is, but you'd be surprised how much the pregnancy and certainly the baby will take your mind away from the cancer. Not enrirely, but quite a bit.

I have to run to a meeting but I'd be happy to talk more. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hi everyone!! I just signed up to do the Disney Half Marathon in January and I'm excited but super nervous. I'm from Freehold, NJ and signed up because after being diagnosed with NHL in October 2006 I learned all about Team in Training and am so impressed by the hard work everyone puts into raising money for LLS. I am extremely lucky and have never been sick (the NHL was found accidentally) although I did have my spleen out for diagnostic purposes in 2007. I went on to get pregnant last year and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this past February. I am completely out of shape and very unsure about how training is going to go, but I KNOW that I can do this. Best of luck to all of you - and THANKS!!
